Job Position: Drivers and Movers

• This physical work that includes working on the moving trucks
• We will train the right candidate if you do not have moving experience

Full or Part Time Positions Available

MOVER/ Helper: this is the starting position. Duties include carrying furniture, dollying boxes, helping load the truck and various other duties as needed

DRIVER: with a valid Michigan Chauffeur’s driver’s License, 21 years old or over, with 2 years of straight driving history to qualify with our insurance company. Also, with less than one moving violation in the last 36 months.

DETAILS

• This is a full/part time on call job with weekly pay. • In the moving industry, there are no shifts. It depends on when the customer needs to move, and how Long their job will take.
• This job is NOT a standard 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday job. Ending times vary by job size every day.
• Schedules are sent out every Saturday for the following week, subject to change based on jobs added or canceled.
• A big plus of being a mover is that most customers tip the movers. That could add about $5 to $10 more per hour to your hourly pay.

EXPECTATIONS

• Communication with management
• Need reliable transportation to our office in Livonia when scheduled.
• Available day, evenings, and especially the weekends.
• Able to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds regularly.
• Able to go up and downstairs on a consistent basis.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Show up in the provided Men on the Move apparel.
• Provide excellent customer service via clear communication, professional demeanor and an upbeat, friendly attitude.

COMPENSATION

The hourly rate starts at $17+ per hour, depending on experience.

Valid Drivers start at $18+ per hour, depending on experience.

A BONUS of being a mover is that most customers tip the movers. That could add about $5 to $10 more per hour to your hourly pay.
